Kate has worked in all aspects of the Real Estate Industry for over 15 years, with passion and experience Kate has fulfilled her life long goal of opening her very own, one of a kind, boutique Agency – Managed by Kate.
A multiple award winning agent personally, Kate has always focused on being the best in her field with continuous Professional Development ensuring only the best for her clients.
In October 2022, Kate toured the United States networking and learning from the most successful Agents and Agencies in the United States, whilst attending the RMUC Conference 22, Orlando, Florida whilst also completing the world renowned Walt Disney Leadership Program.
Kate was honoured to have been invited to attend the Property Management Partners 2023 Tour of Dallas, Texas and Los Angeles, California as a mentor again in October 2023 – once again attending the RMUC 23 Conference and completing additional Walt Disney Excellence in Leadership Programming with her industry connections and peers from throughout Australia.

Hello! I am Kate, Yes THE Kate behind Managed by Kate.
I was raised in the Hunter Valley with very humble beginnings. From an early age I had a love for Real Estate (I do not know many eight year old’s who would steal the Real Estate section from their Grandfathers Sydney Telegraph – but, that was me!).
I started my career in 2008 with an International Real Estate Agency as Property Officer – before long my passion and ambition was recognised and I was promoted to Department Manager at only 22! I was then awarded HRATA Trainee of the Year for Property Real Estate for the Hunter Region and went on to visit our International offices in the United States.
I have spent my entire career focusing on Property Management in various Team Leader – Office Management roles being nominated and winning multiple awards until I was advised in 2017 of serious health scare..
After being forced to resign my position, on Australia Day 2018 I was advised that the surgery was a success and I was cancer free. I had made myself a promise that if I were given a second chance at life I would follow my life long dream and open my own agency!
With approximately $0.00 in savings and nothing but sheer determination, passion and resilience, Managed by Kate was born. The year wasn’t finished with surprises, later that same year my very own daughter Lexi Grace was also born.
Growing a business ORGANICALLY and ETHICALLY from the ground up whilst raising two small babies has not easy by any means, however they say if it were easy, it wouldn’t be worth having!
Now moving into our fifth year shortly, we have beaten the odds for not only small business owners however specifically for women in business! Having survived drought, COVID, Mouse plagues, floods just to name a few.
We offer a unique, One of a Kind Service as a boutique agency. What does this mean? Simply put – we are different from every other agency. We tailor our service around YOUR specific needs and the needs of your property.
With an emphasis on Property Investment as a priority unlike large generic agencies who focus solely on residential sales, our aim is to bring more investment to the area and create more housing for our growing population during this housing shortage.
It has been wonderful to see so many new investors, investing in our region. Most recently I was able to Manage a Million dollar renovation project of a run down block of units returning $910 per week with 80% arrears rate into a beautiful gated complex, providing 8 new residences with 0% arrears, 100% occupancy returning $130k annually.
I have been awarded Agency of the Year for Gunnedah through Rate My Agent for 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022! YES you read that correctly, I have been able to maintain a FIVE Star Service since opening – which we continue to maintain and are incredibly proud of.
We look forward to continuing to evolve our services with our International training in the United States later this year – bringing you the best possible service!

Kate is not only the Director of Managed by Kate, however a Selling Principle and Senior Property Manager. From assisting with the purchase of your investment, leasing of your property, personal management of your accounts and pro-active advice to ensure strong rental returns and reduced expenses, tax depreciation schedules right through to the eventual Sale of your property – Kate has you completely covered in all areas as your point of contact.
